Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is hiring a Sprinkler Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems. You will ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes while documenting findings and coordinating with customers.

The role requires 3+ years in the fire and life safety industry, a high school diploma, and a valid driver's license. NICET level is preferred. Travel to job sites is expected as part of routine duties.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in the fire and life safety industry as an apprentice or technician.
• NICET Level I or above preferred.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and inspection procedures.
• Must have a clean driving record and active driver’s license (if driving is required).
• Adheres to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy.
• Performs other duties assigned by management.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete assigned tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Other duties as assigned by management.
