Job summary

Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, LLC is seeking a Sprinkler and Fire Alarm Test & Inspect Technician to independently inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems. The role requires hands-on technical competency, adherence to NFPA standards, and the ability to work without direct supervision on varied job sites.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in fire and life safety, NICET Level I or higher preferred, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in fire and life safety industry as apprentice or technician.
• Strong understanding of fire sprinkler systems and fire alarm inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler and fire alarm systems.
• Diagnose system deficiencies and recommend corrective actions.
• Use hand tools and testing equipment to complete tasks.
• Complete required documentation and inspection reports accurately and timely.
• Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and local codes.
• Communicate effectively with customers and internal team members.
• Train and support entry-level technicians and apprentices as needed.
