Job summary

Qualifications

• Must possess a VALID State of Connecticut Fire Protection Unlimited Journeyperson License (F2).
• High School Diploma, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of wet, dry and pre-action sprinkler systems, and fire pump systems a must.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• 3-5 years of experience in the industry.

Responsibilities

• Service and troubleshoot wet/dry/pre-action sprinkler systems and fire pumps, including backflows; repair and inspect.
• Read and understand complex construction blueprints, diagrams, and specifications.
• Carry/move equipment and tools up to 60 pounds; work in ladders and high lift equipment up to 40 feet.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area; dispose of trash; wear required safety gear.
• Secure tools and equipment at period end to prevent damage or loss.
• Demonstrate computer/phone skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, iPhone apps).
• Complete and submit time reports and other documents.
• Inform dispatcher/supervisor of changes and problems affecting schedule.
• Work alternate shifts or weekends for on-call requirements.
• Perform other duties as directed.
