Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, and service Fire Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV systems at customer sites. The role includes panel programming, device replacement, and resolving low voltage issues, with emphasis on networked fire alarm systems.

Responsibilities include organizing resources, reading schematics, and ensuring safe, compliant installations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of documented experience in low voltage electrical systems
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multimeter, and commissioning devices
• Capable of lifting 50-70 lbs and working in challenging positions
• Willingness to travel overnight and work weekends
• Must pass pre-employment background and drug test
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record

Responsibilities

• Install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm, Access Control, CCTV systems
• Organize technical resources and ensure efficient task execution
• Program networked fire alarm system panels and related devices
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot, and repair as needed
• Participate in after-hours service program and communicate status to dispatch
• Read blueprints and submittals, verify specifications
• Supervise installation to meet contract requirements
• Complete required certifications and timely documentation
