Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, troubleshoot, configure, commission, and service Fire Alarm Systems, Access Control and CCTV at customer sites. The role focuses on networked fire alarm systems, with panel repairs, device replacements, and low-voltage tasks.

Requires CT electrical license and physical capability for on-site work. You will read blueprints and specs, supervise equipment installation, and complete documentation promptly.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, CCTV, and Security Systems.
• CT L6 Electrical License required.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals or specs.
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multimeter, digital analyzer and commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Physically able to carry/move equipment up to 50–70 lbs.
• Able to work in ladders, scaffolding, ducts and tight spaces.
• Willing to work flexible hours including weekends and travel as needed.
• Demonstrates strong customer service and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Install/program integrated security and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot and repair issues.
• Participate in after-hours service program.
• Read blueprints, submittals, specs, and manuals for proper installation.
• Supervise installation to meet specifications.
• Complete required certification courses and document tasks on time.
• Coordinate with dispatch on work orders and status.
