Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a skilled technician to install, program, troubleshoot, and service Fire Alarm, Access Control, and CCTV systems at customer sites. The role concentrates on networked fire alarm panels and coordinating with central dispatch for timely updates.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in low voltage systems, can read blueprints, and is comfortable with after-hours calls. Valid driver’s license and safety-first mindset required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in low voltage electrical systems incl. Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, CCTV, and Security.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals, and manuals.
• Experience with hand tools, test equipment, multimeter, commissioning devices.
• Must have Driver's license and pass background/drug tests; ability to obtain licenses per codes.
• Flexible hours with potential overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Install and program integrated security and fire alarm systems.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot and repair as needed.
• Read blueprints and manuals; supervise installation to specs.
• Complete required task-related documentation promptly.
• Participate in after-hours service program; travel may be required.
