Job summary

Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking a Fire Protection Sales Estimator to perform fire system work across the construction industry. You will estimate, conduct site visits, and participate in marketing and sales activities to grow the business.

The role requires deep knowledge of fire protection systems, blueprints, and NFPA standards, with a track record in cradle-to-grave project management and customer relationship development. Onsite presence required with potential for growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in a Fire Protection industry.
• Fire protection sales estimation experience preferred.
• Previous design and/or project management experience from cradle to grave.
• Experience with layout, takeoff, and hydraulic calculations for proposals.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Revu, Navisworks.

Responsibilities

• Establish contact with prospects and qualify potential buyers of Fire Protection contracts by scheduling sales calls and following up on leads.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy for company offerings.
• Close sales to exceed sales plan objectives.
• Read blueprints and understand NFPA 13, 14, and 20 standards and local codes.
• Develop relationships with customers, general contractors and end users.
• Estimate small projects and large projects from $100k to $1MM+ to proposals.
• Build new business relationships and grow the Fire Protection business.
• Other duties as assigned.
