Job summary

Shambaugh & Son, L.P. seeks a motivated Fire Protection Sales Representative to drive growth in Central Illinois.

You will develop new business, manage accounts, visit sites, prepare estimates, and present fire protection solutions to contractors, facility owners, and industrial customers. The ideal candidate has experience in construction sales or fire protection, can read blueprints, and build long-term partnerships.

Qualifications

• 3 years of fire alarm sales experience preferred.
• NICET certification preferred.
• Experience with FIKE, Edwards and Notifier systems preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA standards and local codes.

Responsibilities

• Meet with clients and contractors both in office and job sites.
• Build and manage sales for the division.
• Determine customer needs and develop a sales strategy to gain customer understanding of company offerings.
• Close sufficient sales to exceed sales plan objectives.
• Familiar with reading blueprints, understanding current NFPA 13, 14, 20, and 72 standards and local codes.
• Develop a positive ongoing relationship with existing and new customers, general contractors and end users.
• Estimate small and large projects
• Ability to build new business associations / relationships and grow the Fire Alarm Business.
