Cuhaci & Peterson Architects is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with a BS in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering and a US professional license. The role requires strong leadership, REVIT proficiency, and deep knowledge of building codes.

You will develop designs, mentor junior staff, and coordinate with project teams to ensure on-time delivery and budget adherence. Ideal candidates have 6+ years of relevant experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• BS degree in Fire Protection or Mechanical Engineering; minimum 6 years of work experience.
• Must be professionally licensed in the United States.
• Ability to supervise designers and coordinate with project teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations and layout/design per policies, codes, and standards.
• Apply practical knowledge to resolve project issues with minimal supervision.
• Supervise subordinates or assist other engineers or designers when needed.
• Coordinate with Project Engineer/Project Manager on design scope, budget, and schedules.
• Estimate man-hours and allocate design tasks to team members.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to Engineering Designers I–III.
• Review designs with other disciplines for coordination and final design.
