Job summary

DLB Associates is seeking a Lead Fire Protection and Plumbing Engineer to oversee full-cycle plumbing and fire protection design for commercial buildings. The role is remote, supporting projects from anywhere in the United States, with collaboration across the Engineering and Project Management teams.

You will perform hydraulic calculations, size pumps and pipes, review drawings and specifications, and mentor junior staff while driving project success and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of designing mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Knowledge of codes, code analysis and specifications for mechanical, fire protection and plumbing systems.
• Skilled at using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).
• Capable of performing hydraulic calculations and sizing components.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and oversee full-cycle plumbing and fire protection design for commercial buildings.
• Coordinate with Project Management Team to prepare construction documents and specifications.
• Lead construction administration and review shop drawings, RFIs, and submittals.
• Develop and review sequence of operations and project schedules.
