Job summary

DLB Associates seeks an Engineer I to collaborate with senior staff on commercial building design and construction projects. The role focuses on learning through hands-on experience, producing drawings, specifications, and construction documents while supporting management teams.

You will gain exposure across Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing disciplines, with potential paths toward project management and specialized engineering areas.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of engineering principles and code/specifications for design and engineering.
• Ability to leverage MS Office Suite and digital tools for document management and analysis.
• Comfort working remotely with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% and to participate in onboarding/training.

Responsibilities

• Assist in producing engineering documents and drawings under supervision.
• Support pre-construction activities and data collection for construction documents.
• Assist with construction administration tasks and RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings.
• Prepare progress reports and support project management alignment.
