Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking an experienced fire protection engineer to support the SFHP project during construction and turnover phases. You will perform design reviews, system walkdowns, and contractor oversight across multiple project phases, learning the facility’s protection systems with the potential to lead small teams as you gain experience.

The role emphasizes collaboration across disciplines, strong technical writing, and effective communication in a dynamic national asset

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical, engineering or science field with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience; or a Master's with 4 years; or a Doctorate with 1 year; or currently a Senior Reactor Training Engineer, Refueling Engineer, or Field (RPCO) Engineer at the Company.

Responsabilidades

• Provide fire protection engineering support during construction
• Conduct design reviews, system walkdowns and contractor compliance reviews
• Learn facility fire protection systems design and oversee contractors through design, construction, installation, commissioning and turnover
• Potential to lead small teams as experience grows
