Kinectrics AES, Inc. is seeking a Nuclear Fire Protection Engineer to design, analyze, and implement fire protection upgrades for nuclear facilities. You will collaborate with design teams, site personnel, and licensing groups to ensure compliant plant modifications and risk-informed analyses.

The role focuses on fire protection systems, structures, and procedures meeting regulatory requirements, with potential for broader design and program support based on qualifications and needs.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to write clear technical documents.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; capable of working with cross-disciplinary teams.

Responsabilidades

• Perform fire hazard analyses, fire risk evaluations, and fire protection engineering calculations.
• Support modifications and upgrades to fire protection systems, detectors, suppression, barriers, and pumps.
• Ensure compliance with NRC regulations, NFPA standards, and industry guidance.
• Develop technical reports, calculations, and licensing documentation.
• Participate in design reviews and plant modification projects.
