Job summary

Enercon Services, Inc. is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to provide technical leadership, ensure NFPA code compliance, and guide multi-disciplinary project teams. The role covers review of designs, field engagement, hazard analysis, and development of robust fire protection solutions.

You will collaborate across disciplines, develop design studies, and create accurate engineering estimates while mentoring junior staff. Travel to project sites is anticipated as part of client delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in fire protection engineering from an accredited university.
• Experience in the nuclear engineering industry is required.
• Minimum 10 years of experience with design of fire protection systems, fire hazard analyses, code compliance evaluations, etc.
• Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience as a manager.
• Professional Engineering License is required.
• Excellent writing, presentation and oral communication skills.
• Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, HASS (or similar such as AutoSprink).
• Approximate travel of 10% as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate Across Disciplines: bridge between engineering teams for seamless coordination across project disciplines.
• Shape Project Success: provide technical guidance on NFPA code requirements and project scopes; create engineering estimates.
• Master Procurement and Installation: draft specs, evaluate bids, select top-tier solutions, review designs from others.
• Think Creatively: bring fresh perspectives to solve complex technical challenges and push projects forward.
• Be Hands-On in the Field: travel to sites, conduct walkdowns, oversee installations, support testing.
• Provide Technical Expertise: apply design criteria, read drawings and specs to support deliverables.
