Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Architectural or Chemical Engineering, or in Engineering Technology or related discipline.
• Professional engineering (PE) license.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Aufgaben

• Developing fire protection engineering designs: layouts, basis-of-design documentation, hydraulics, sprinkler and suppression systems, pumps, and alarms.
• Acting as QFPE for federal projects—life safety, fire suppression and alarm analysis.
• Reviewing drafts for compliance with federal, state and local regs and signing off on designs.
• Performing other duties of basic to high complexity as needed to meet client requirements.
• Evaluating systems using HydraCAD, HydraCALC, or similar software.
• Ensuring designs comply with NFPA, UFC, and local regulations; following firm policies.
• Collaborating with sales staff to prepare proposals and review drafts for regulatory compliance.
• Meeting with clients to review design needs and future requirements.
• Conducting site assessments to align designs with industry standards and local requirements.
• Attending conferences to improve visibility of products and services.
