Job summary

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with opportunities across multiple offices and projects. Ideal candidates bring a PE license and 7+ years of related experience, with some travel expected to support federal and commercial engagements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in Mechanical, Architectural, or Chemical Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required for qualified candidates.
• Minimum 7 years of related experience in fire protection engineering.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; flexibility essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop fire protection system designs including sprinkler, suppression, pumps and alarms.
• Serve as QFPE on federal projects with life safety and design responsibilities.
• Review drafts for compliance with NFPA, UFC and local regulations.
• Provide guidance to junior staff and mentor engineers.
• Collaborate with sales to prepare proposals and RFP responses.
• Conduct site assessments and attend conferences to promote firm services.
• Ensure designs adhere to firm policies and standards.
• Coordinate with project teams across multiple offices.
