Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• P.E. licensure is required.
• 5+ years in the AEC industry preferred.

• Revit experience is required.
• Detail-oriented and able to work under deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Lead design development and calculations for fire protection systems across schematic, design development, and construction document phases.
• Independently perform fire protection design tasks with minimal input.
• Prepare technical documentation for fire protection systems, including descriptions and equipment schedules.
• Develop and review fire protection layouts in Revit in coordination with architectural and structural teams.
• Coordinate fire protection design with disciplines and consultants to resolve conflicts.
• Review RFIs and submittals with support from lead engineers.
• Perform field verification and participate in construction observation visits.
• Mentor designers and interns in software use, modeling, and documentation standards.
• Participate in meetings and assist with agendas, minutes, and follow-up documentation.
