Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead design and calculations for fire protection systems across Federal and commercial projects. The role involves directing design staff, producing drawings and calculations, and ensuring compliance with NFPA ICC codes.

The position is hybrid with a minimum two days in office and expects travel of about 10–15%. The team operates in a Federal Buildings Business Unit, delivering projects contracted by DoD clients and Federal Civilian

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• At least 10 years of related experience.
• US citizenship and PE licensure in any US state.

Responsibilities

• Design and review fire protection systems including sprinklers, suppression, alarms, and life safety codes.
• Prepare drawings, calculations, and specifications as Designer of Record.
• Lead and mentor junior staff and ensure quality delivery.
