Job summary

Jacobs, a leading design firm, seeks a Fire Protection Engineer I to coordinate and produce fire protection deliverables for US federal facilities. You will lead design efforts within a multi-disciplinary team, ensure timeliness and budget, and work in a hybrid office/remote environment.

Applicants should have a BS in Fire Protection Engineering or related field, at least four years of experience, and REVIT proficiency; US citizenship and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in fire protection/related field.
• At least 4 years' fire protection design experience.
• Willingness to travel overseas and within the US.
• Proficiency in REVIT.

Responsibilities

• Act as Designer of Record for fire protection design projects including schedule, budget, and QA/QC.
• Lead information gathering, stakeholder interviews, studies, calculations, and rough layouts.
• Present findings to clients and stakeholders.
• Perform high-level tasks using defined standards and codes.
• Perform designs for fire sprinkler, suppression, and fire alarm systems.
• Support construction administration and field investigations.
