Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer/SME to lead the fire protection discipline for data center and mission-critical projects. You will provide technical leadership, develop standards, and mentor staff while coordinating with clients, AHJs, and architects across multiple programs.

The role requires extensive experience in NFPA, IBC, IFC, FM Global, and life-safety analyses, with a focus on reliability and code compliance in dynamic data center environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or mechanical engineering related field.
PE license required; NICET certifications are a plus.
Minimum 15+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
Experience as technical lead or subject matter expert on large projects.

Responsibilities

Serve as Fire Protection Senior Engineer/SME for data center and mission-critical projects.
Lead fire protection design reviews and QA/QC across multiple projects.
Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and interface with clients/AHJs.

Professional Engineer (PE) license
