Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer to lead fire protection design for mission critical Data Center projects across the United States. You will guide code compliance, system design, and collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver reliable protection strategies.

You will mentor junior engineers, develop standards, and drive technical excellence while coordinating with clients, AHJs, and internal leadership to shape our data center protection capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• At least 15+ years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Demonstrated experience serving as a technical lead or SME.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for fire protection system design and life safety engineering across multiple projects.
• Develop design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards.
• Lead design reviews and QA/QC efforts across projects.
• Perform code evaluations using NFPA, IBC, IFC, FM Global, and client standards.
• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and support discipline growth.
