Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer/SME to lead fire protection design for data center and mission-critical projects across the United States. You will set technical directions, supervise design reviews, and mentor junior engineers while collaborating with clients, architects, and AHJs to ensure reliability and code compliance.

Qualifications

15+ years of fire protection engineering experience
PE license required
Demonstrated experience as technical lead / SME
Extensive knowledge of NFPA, IBC, IFC, FM Global
Experience designing fire suppression systems for large facilities (data centers, industrial)

Responsibilities

Serve as Fire Protection Engineering SME for Data Center and Mission Critical projects
Provide technical leadership for fire protection design, code analysis, and life safety engineering
Establish design criteria, basis of design reports, and technical standards
Lead design reviews and QA/QC across multiple projects
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and with AHJs for approvals
Mentor junior/mid-level staff and support business development
