Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Fire Protection Engineer/SME to lead fire protection for Data Center and mission-critical projects. You will provide technical leadership, mentor staff, and establish design standards with clients, architects, engineers, and AHJs.

You will design suppression systems, perform hydraulic calculations, and ensure NFPA/IBC/IFC compliance while coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and civil teams to deliver reliable, scalable data center solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 15+ years of fire protection experience.
• Demonstrated experience as a technical lead or SME.

Responsibilities

• Lead fire protection design for Data Center projects.
• Mentor junior staff and enforce design standards.
• Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and AHJs.
• Develop fire protection strategies for mission-critical facilities.
