Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to lead design, construction, and maintenance of fire protection systems for its global data centers.

You will drive prescriptive and performance-based design approaches, coordinate with multiple teams, and ensure compliance with NFPA and local codes. The role requires strong collaboration with design, construction, commissioning, operations, vendors, and authorities having jurisdiction to protect people and data while achieving

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.

Responsibilities

• Driving improvement of design standards and project approaches across the organization.
• Review concept designs to ensure they meet design standards and local code requirements.
• Provide high quality fire protection engineering advice on a wide variety of projects globally.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams for RFIs and value engineering.
• Prepare construction documents, code compliance, and submittal reviews for fire protection features.
• Travel up to 25% of the time.
