Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Field Engineer in Boardman, Oregon to provide full life-cycle support for AWS Data Centers.

You will review designs, troubleshoot equipment, and mentor teams on fire protection, with field and office work across multiple regions. You will own upgrade concepts to increase capacity and reliability, interface with operations, design, and safety teams, and lead on-site audits and turnover activities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including data centers, power generation, or oil and gas facilities.
• Valid and active driver's license.
• Bachelor's degree in fire protection engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Review design and equipment submittals for new Data Centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot, perform RCA and create CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Mentor and train customers and partner engineers in fire protection principles.
• Own conceptual design for existing data center upgrades to improve capacity, availability and efficiency.
