Job summary

Johnson Controls in Fort Worth seeks an experienced service technician to diagnose and repair Fire & Life Safety systems on customer sites. You will read blueprints, interpret schematics, and communicate effectively with customers to ensure satisfaction.

This role requires 4+ years of low voltage experience, a valid license, physical stamina for lifting, and flexibility for weekend hours. NICET II preferred; on-call rotation and local travel may be required, with a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 4+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems, including Fire/Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call, and Paging.
• FAL License.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, submittals, and manuals; knowledge of test equipment, multi-meter, digital analyzer, and commissioning devices.
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs and work flexible hours including weekends.
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and assess equipment problems.
• Diagnose problems and perform service and repairs on Fire & Life Safety systems at customer sites.
• Read blueprints and manuals and reference technical documentation.
• Organize resources and ensure efficient execution of tasks; participate in on-call rotation.
• Provide recommendations and quotes to improve facility efficiency.
