Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Senior Fire Engineer in Las Vegas to design complex building systems, prepare design documents, and lead multi-disciplinary teams. You will mentor staff, participate in business development, and ensure projects meet quality, schedule, and budget goals.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, collaboration with project teams, and staying current with evolving codes and industry standards, while supporting a client-centric approach across sectors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, fire protection, or architectural engineering.
• PE license required; may count toward 1 year of experience.
• Proficiency with Revit and Bluebeam Revu.
• FE exam preferred.
• Sustainability certifications (LEED, WELL) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs preparation of simple to the most complex design documents, system layouts, drawings, schematics and specifications.
• Leads project and design efforts from concept design through completion.
• Reviews shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Mentors less experienced designers and engineers across teams.
• Ensures quality, scope, schedule, cost and performance targets are met.
• Develops client relationships and supports business development.
