Henderson Engineers is seeking a Lead Fire Engineer in Lenexa, KS to design advanced building systems and mentor a design staff across multiple disciplines. You’ll lead projects from concept through to completion, coordinate with teams, and engage with clients to align requirements with design solutions.

The role requires a PE license and a strong background in fire protection engineering, with proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 9+ years of relevant experience.
• PE license required; may count toward experience.
• FE exam preferred; sustainability certifications encouraged.
• Proficiency in Revit and Bluebeam Revu.

Responsibilities

• Directs design efforts from concept through completion.
• Mentors junior designers and engineers.
• Ensures drawings, specs, and analyses meet scope, schedule, and quality requirements.
• Leads client and partner communications and project staffing decisions.
• Manages project delivery and coordination across disciplines.
• Builds and maintains client relationships for new opportunities.
