Job summary

Moov is hiring for a remote software engineer focused on building fintech and payment systems. You will own production services, APIs and tooling, mentor peers, and collaborate across engineering, product, and leadership to shape the platform.

Qualifications

• Self-guided building and planning of production systems.
• Past experience developing complex software in Go.
• Understanding & experience in microservices architectures.
• Experience using AI tools for spec-driven development with proper context and rules.
• Past engineering experience in fintech/payments domain.
• Desire to perform and grow as an engineer.
• Ability to design simple and creative solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to diagnose issues and implement rapid fixes in high-availability environments.
• Adaptability to shifting priorities and needs.

Responsibilities

• Build next-generation financial products.
• Mentor fellow team members and share expertise.
• Design and build production services using Go, microservices, databases and cloud solutions.
• Create APIs and tooling to support products and services.
• Reproduce customer issues and contribute fixes.
• Collaborate with engineers, PMs, BD, and leadership to plan ahead.
• Own the full release lifecycle from development to hosted release.
• Contribute to system documentation and readability.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testing, and observability.
• Guide AI agents to produce high-quality, maintainable code.
