Job summary

Moov is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our remote engineering team. You will build and expand fintech and payment systems that customers rely on daily, mentoring peers and collaborating across product, business development, and leadership.

You will own the release lifecycle, design APIs, and contribute to Moov’s agentic tooling while maintaining high code quality and observability in a fast-moving, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• Self-guided planning and building production systems.
• Past experience developing complex software in Go.
• Understanding & experience in microservices architectures.
• Experience using AI tools for spec-driven development with proper rules and testing.
• Past engineering experience in fintech/payments industry.
• Desire to perform and grow as an engineer.
• Ability to design seemingly simple and creative solutions to complex problems.
• Ability to diagnose issues quickly in a high-availability environment.
• High adaptability to shifting priorities at Moov.

Responsibilities

• Design and build production services using Go, Microservices, databases, and cloud solutions.
• Create APIs and tooling to support products and services.
• Reproduce customer issues and contribute to their resolution.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, business development, and leadership to plan for the future.
• Own the full release lifecycle from feature development to public and hosted release.
• Contribute to system documentation.
• Maintain high standards for code quality, testability, and observability, including telemetry and testing practices.
• Guide AI agents to produce high-quality, maintainable code that aligns with engineering guidelines.
