Job summary

Dream Panel is seeking a senior backend engineer to own core services behind our one-account rails—deposits, conversion, and ledgers that keep balances consistent. This is a senior IC role for someone who has shipped production financial software and is comfortable with compliance constraints.

You will design and ship backend services for account, transfer, and conversion flows, ensure observable and idempotent money movement, and review designs with a bias toward correctness.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production backend systems, ideally in fintech or payments.
• Strong experience with APIs, data stores, and distributed systems.
• Comfort working in a regulated environment (KYC/AML is not optional here).
• Based in the United States and able to work US hours.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship backend services for account, transfer, and conversion flows
• Keep money-movement paths observable, idempotent, and recoverable
• Review designs and pull requests with a bias toward correctness over speed
• Partner with Security and Compliance before outbound funds can move
• Mentor junior engineers through design docs and production incidents
