Job summary

Lively, Inc. is seeking a Backend Senior Software Engineer to build and scale investment and financial products in a remote-first environment. You will analyze requirements, implement features with clean code, and write automated tests to ensure high-quality software.

You will work with cross-functional teams to move funds, track balances, and secure data while designing scalable schemas and robust backend services. Experience in relational databases, AWS, and agile practices is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with strong backend background.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL).

Responsibilities

• Analyze and provide feedback on product requirements.
• Implement features and functionality with clean, maintainable code.
• Write automated unit tests and perform functional testing to ensure quality.
• Troubleshoot production issues and propose improvements.
