Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University is seeking a Senior Financial Technician in the Facilities Management Administration. The role manages procurement contracts, processes transactions, oversees cash management, and analyzes financial data to support budget forecasting and operational efficiency.

You will ensure compliance with university procedures, provide fiscal support to the Manager of Financial Services, and assist with monthly reports and asset management in AiM and Banner systems.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
• Experience with Banner / RealSource, AiM, CMMS and higher education procurement rules.
• Ability to research, compile, analyze large datasets for forecasts.
• Effective communication and strong organizational skills.
• High School Diploma or GED; commitment to a respectful workplace.

Responsibilities

• Manage procurement contracts and ordering for Facilities Management Administration.
• Review billing summaries and process transactions in AiM/work management system.
• Oversee cash management and accounts receivable activities.
• Analyze financial data and develop complex reports for budgeting and forecasting.
• Ensure compliance with university fiscal procedures and policies.
• Provide fiscal support to the Manager of Financial Services and to FMD units.
