Job summary

Virginia Tech seeks a Fiscal Technician Senior to join the Business Operations team in Blacksburg, VA, to support Health and Wellness programs of Student Affairs. You’ll manage purchasing, travel arrangements and reimbursements, monthly reconciliations, encumbrances, ad hoc financial reports, wage payroll tracking, and records retention.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in accounting/finance or related, or equivalent experience.
• Previous experience performing fiscal and HR duties in a professional setting.
• Experience in purchasing, reconciliations and providing financial reports.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Provide financial services including purchasing, travel arrangements and reimbursements.
• Handle monthly reconciliations and monitor encumbrances.
• Run ad hoc financial reports and track wage payroll.
• Coordinate records retention and VT fixed assets/surplus property.
