Job summary

Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) is seeking a Financial Specialist 1 to support the VCU Office of the Vice President for Research & Innovation. The role focuses on inventory control, order processing, vendor communications and billing reconciliation across multiple supply centers.

Responsibilities include receiving and consolidating orders, maintaining records, interfacing with RAMS-FORCE for invoicing, and ensuring accurate pricing and discounts from 31 vendors.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Significant customer service experience.
• Experience with supply chain, logistics, procurement and inventory control.
• Ability to work with limited supervision in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with inventory management and order processing.
• Maintain vendor interactions and billing reconciliation.
• Record and track orders in spreadsheets and RAMS-FORCE.
• Provide strong customer service at supply centers.
• Support RealSource and liquid nitrogen/dry ice operations.
