Job summary

Morgan Stanley at Work is seeking a Senior Consulting Manager to lead a specialized practice in equity compensation and financial reporting. You will serve as a subject matter expert, helping clients utilize Equity Edge Online or Shareworks for expensing and reporting, while translating client needs into practical solutions and training internal teams.

You’ll manage client relationships, present at conferences, and mentor colleagues, traveling up to 10% as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or business-related field is required, with a Master’s degree as a plus.
• 7+ years of combined experience in public accounting, SEC reporting, FP&A and/or equity compensation
• Experience in customer service and/or a client-facing role with a strong aptitude for understanding and responding to client needs with innovative solutions based on knowledge of businesses, products, services and external factors (e.g., regulatory, economic, and industry trends)
• Proven technical, client engagement, and project leadership skills
• CPA preferred

Responsibilities

• Provides a clear, compelling and articulate explanation of our financial reporting value proposition to prospective and/or existing clients
• Develops and maintains strong working relationships with key business decision makers
• Develops key industry contacts that will assist in building effective relationships and support the close of sales or strengthen existing client relationships
• Helps identify services to meet client needs, define methodologies and best practices to deliver those services, and participate in industry events as a subject matter expert
• Identifies and document FAQs and solutions for financial reporting topics and best practices
• Creates materials and conduct internal training to expand Shareworks and EEO financial reporting knowledge
• Assists with external documentation and training efforts to enhance client’s reporting experience
• Researches, reconciles and resolves reporting issues submitted by clients
