Job summary

Texas Health and Human Services Commission in Austin seeks a Financial Examiner IV to conduct highly complex financial examinations of Medicaid and non-Medicaid cost reports within the Provider Finance Department. The role ensures accuracy and reasonableness of data used to determine reimbursement methodologies and cost allocations.

The position requires GAAP knowledge and familiarity with Texas Administrative Code, with exposure to CPA/CISA credentials preferred and the ability to manage

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in accounting, business, economics, or related field.
• CPA, CIA, CGAP, CIGA, CFE, and/or CISA certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex financial examinations of Medicaid and Non-Medicaid costs and compliance reports.
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and report results of cost report examinations.
• Maintain timely, accurate communication with providers and agency staff.
