Job summary

Capstone Analytic seeks a Senior Cost Engineer / Financial Data Integration Lead to support federal health IT portfolio management, budget analysis, and executive decision-making. You will design and maintain financial data architectures, ensuring accuracy, traceability, and consistent reporting across multiple sources.

You will collaborate across finance, acquisition, program management, and data analytics, with opportunities to lead cost estimation work as maturity grows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, data analytics, information systems, engineering, OR mathematics.
• 8+ years of experience in cost engineering, financial analysis, budget analysis or related fields.
• Strong understanding of financial data, budgets, forecasts, obligations, and reporting structures.
• Ability to integrate financial information from multiple sources into coherent reporting products.
• Strong data analysis skills to identify inconsistencies and trends.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and executive reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial data integration across budget, cost estimates, and contract data.
• Design and maintain financial data structures for portfolio management and executive reporting.
• Develop integrated financial reporting that connects cost, budget, schedule, and performance.
• Identify data integrity issues and resolve reconciliation gaps.
• Create repeatable processes for collecting, validating, and reporting financial data.
• Support portfolio leaders with trend and risk analysis using structured data.
• Develop dashboards, data dictionaries, and mapping tables for executives.
• Collaborate with FP&A, cost estimators, analysts, and program stakeholders.
