Job summary

Scale Media, Inc. is seeking a Senior Data Analyst who acts as a Data Detective to own forecasts and financial models for our ecommerce brands.

You will bridge raw transaction data from Stripe, Shopify, and Amazon with the financial plan, build predictive models, and support decision-making at the leadership level. You will work on forecasting, revenue and cash planning, unit economics, reconciliation, and dashboarding in Sigma, using Snowflake, Python, and SQL.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data or financial analytics in DTC, subscription, or consumer businesses.

Responsibilities

• Build and own forecasts for revenue, orders, subscriptions, and cash by brand and channel.
• Develop scenario and sensitivity models for budgeting.
• Track forecast accuracy and refine models as the business changes.
• Build, validate, and maintain predictive models for renewals, churn, refunds, and SKU demand.
• Monitor model performance and retrain as customer behavior shifts.
• Own reporting on revenue, gross vs. net sales, discounts, refunds, COGS, and contribution margin by brand, channel, and product.
• Provide variance analysis and explain drivers.
• Reconcile data across Stripe, Shopify, Amazon, bank deposits, internal DB, and QuickBooks.
• Define business logic behind financial metrics and serve as single source of truth.
• Use dbt or Python to build financial datasets and models; write SQL in Snowflake.
• Design and maintain dashboards in Sigma for Finance and leadership.
• Present forecasts and model findings to Finance and exec leadership, including assumptions and risks.
• Mentor analysts on financial data quality and modeling.
