Job summary

ODNR is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Division of Water Resources in Franklin County, Columbus, OH. The role handles data-driven financial reporting, grants administration (Floodplains, Dam Safety, H2Ohio), and cross-system reporting in FIN, Ohio Buys, and Excel.

Qualifications

42 months of accounting and/or finance experience including advanced spreadsheet use.
Undergraduate core program in business administration, accounting, or finance, or related field (18 months preferred).
Graduate core program in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field; 6 months experience required; substitute possible.

Responsibilities

Develops, reviews, and synthesizes data from multiple financial sources to create reports for leadership and stakeholders.
Administers fiscal aspects of several federal grants (Floodplains, Dam Safety, H2Ohio).
Designs and builds financial reports in FIN, Ohio Buys, Access, and Excel.
Acts as liaison for financial issues, audits, and OSS communications.
Reconciles accounts and suggests policy changes to improve fiscal use.
Assists budget office with forecasting and trend analysis.
