Job summary

Davis H. Elliot Company, Inc. in Lexington, KY is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to lead FP&A functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will build financial models, analyze performance, and provide insights to drive strategic decisions with strong Excel and system skills.

The role requires collaboration with business leaders, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Construction/engineering experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of FP&A, corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, or financial reporting.
• Experience using OneStream, Hyperion, or similar enterprise financial planning systems.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis.
• Strong understanding of financial statements, budgeting processes, and performance analysis.
• Experience Preparing executive-level reporting and presenting financial recommendations.
• Proven ability to analyze large data sets and translate findings into actionable business insights.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Lead budgeting processes and support departmental budget development.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts with scenario planning and variance analysis.
• Analyze financial performance against budget and forecast.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to support decisions.
• Prepare monthly management reporting packages, dashboards, and KPIs.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through financial and operational analysis.
• Partner with department leaders to evaluate performance and provide financial guidance.
• Support long-range planning and growth strategies.
• Utilize OneStream for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
• Monitor operating expenses and capital spending for cost optimization.
• Present analyses and recommendations to finance leadership.
• Develop ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives.
• Assist with financial modeling for investments and capital projects.
