Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to senior management, group logistics managers, and logistics managers.

You will participate in month-end close, forecasting, and performance analysis. You will partner with Operations, Sales, and Rental directors to identify opportunities for cost reductions and productivity gains, and you will train BU staff on financial policies and tools while ensuring SOX compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
• MBA is preferred.
• 2–4 years or more of experience in a corporate Finance department within a Fortune 500 company or consulting firm is required.
• 5 years or more post-MBA is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office is required (intermediate).

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: prepare journal entries, reclass revenue/expenses, analyze variances.
• Identify cost/productivity opportunities with DOO/DOS/DOR.
• Forecasting, planning and branch performance analysis.
• Provide financial training to BU staff on policies and tools.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance via branch audits as needed.
• Coordinate with Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting.
