Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to provide financial and analytical support to Senior Financial Management and Logistics leaders.

The role collaborates across operations to identify cost-saving opportunities, improve productivity, and ensure accuracy in monthly close and forecasting. You will train business unit staff on financial tools and policies while maintaining strong communication with senior management and Shared Services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 2–4 years of experience in a corporate finance department within a Fortune 500 company or consulting firm is required.
• 5+ years in post-MBA roles is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Month-End Closing: prepare journal entries and reclass revenue/expenses; analyze variances vs forecast and plan; research general ledger for billing opportunities.
• Coordinate with DOO, DOS and DOR on cost/productivity improvement opportunities.
• Financial Planning & Analysis: forecasting, business planning and branch performance analysis.
• Provide financial training to Business Unit staff on policies, procedures and tools.
• Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance through branch audits as needed.
• Act as liaison with Ryder's Shared Services Center and Corporate Accounting group.
• Perform other duties as assigned and follow up on tracking/reporting.
