Sherpa | Recruiting, Staffing & Consulting is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join the FP&A team in the Charlotte, NC area. This role partners with Operations and executive leadership to influence profitability, performance, and long-term strategy.

The position focuses on planning, forecasting, modeling, and strategic finance, with quarterly variance analyses, ROI assessments, and cross-functional collaboration across manufacturing and corporate functions.

Qualifications

  • 3–6 years FP&A or related analytical experience.
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency.
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Operations and functional leaders to provide financial guidance and decision support.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identify key business drivers, and communicate actionable insights.
  • Evaluate profitability, productivity, labor, material costs, and operational KPIs.
  • Support the annual budget, monthly forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
  • Develop financial models and scenario analyses to support strategic initiatives.
  • Perform variance analysis and present recommendations to leadership.
  • Build business cases and ROI analyses for capital investments and growth initiatives.
  • Support pricing strategies, cost reduction efforts, and operational improvement projects.
  • Identify financial risks and opportunities while helping leadership make informed decisions.
  • Prepare executive-level reporting, dashboards, and financial presentations.
  • Improve reporting processes through automation and enhanced data analytics.
  • Partner with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecast integrity.

Job Overview – Senior Financial Analyst – 34357

This is an 3 day in / 2 day out role in the Charlotte, NC area. Our client is not offering relocation assistance at this time.

Compensation: To $110K, plus bonus.

In this highly visible role, you’ll work closely with Operations, executive leadership, and cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that drive profitability, operational performance, and long-term business strategy. You’ll gain broad exposure across the organization while building a clear path for future career growth.

What You’ll Be Doing
Business Partnership & Financial Analysis
  • Partner with Operations and functional leaders to provide financial guidance and decision support.
  • Analyze financial and operational performance, identify key business drivers, and communicate actionable insights.

  • Support consolidated reporting across multiple business units.
  • Improve reporting processes through automation and enhanced data analytics.
  • Partner closely with Accounting to ensure accurate financial reporting and forecast integrity.
What We’re Looking For
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • 3–6 years of FP&A, Corporate Finance, Operations Finance, or related analytical experience
  • Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel proficiency
  • Ability to translate complex financial data into meaningful business recommendations
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence business partners
  • Self-motivated professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site operations experience
  • Capital investment analysis and ROI modeling
  • Operational KPI reporting and business performance analysis
  • Experience supporting global or multi-business unit organizations
  • ERP and financial planning systems experience (SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, OneStream, Adaptive Planning, or similar)
