Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) in Superior Township, MI seeks a Financial Accounting Manager to oversee Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Corporate Card functions, providing strategic direction and leadership to support strong business performance.

You will drive journal entries, reconciliations, and monthly/quarterly closes, ensuring compliance with ASC 842 and IFRS 16. A senior role focused on accuracy, process improvements, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience in accounting, engineering or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite (incl. Teams and SharePoint)
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee journal entries – cash deposits, payroll, transfers between accounts, ROU asset and rent entries.
• Review entries in bank table for vendors and employees; review prepaid entries.
• Support/manage staff with daily tasks as required and review daily cash files.
• Perform monthly reconciliations, balance sheet & income statement variance analyses.
• Coordinate ASC 842 lease entries and IFRS 16 conversions as needed
