Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is seeking a Finance professional for a General Accounting Specialist role in Georgia. You will review financial transactions, prepare month-end close deliverables, and help maintain accounting policies while ensuring GAAP compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field; CPA on track is a plus, with strong analytical and communication skills. SAP experience is a plus, and Microsoft Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA or on track for CPA is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting requirements.
• Conduct analysis and documentation of new processes and ensuring compliance with GAAP and IFRS.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and explain complex financial matters to non-finance professionals.
• Experience with SAP systems is a plus.
• Highly detail oriented and with business process improvement skills.
• Systems and software including ERP systems, treasury management systems, and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Review all financial transactions for accuracy and ensure that accounting records are up to date.
• Prepare month-end journal entries and monthly close deliverables
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
• Analyze purchases for proper general ledger coding
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliation and fluxes
• Assist in preparation of the monthly variance analysis for management review
• Prepare audit support
• Review financial statements and recommend adjustments to improve accuracy of reporting.
