Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Controller to manage its accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role requires a detail-oriented leader with 7–10 years of accounting experience, ideally in energy trading or financial markets. Qualifications

• 7–10 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to energy trading, financial services, or commodities.
• Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm or fund accounting environment strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations including general ledger, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage accounting for trading activities including settlements, P&L reporting, and trade-related accounting entries.
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with leadership.
