Job summary

Enabled Energy is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead accurate, scalable accounting operations for our project-based business. You will own the close, reporting, controls, and project accounting while partnering across delivery, commercial, and Central Services teams.

The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of progressive accounting, U.S. GAAP expertise, ERP experience (Dynamics 365 or similar), and a CPA or candidacy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA license or active CPA candidacy preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with close, financial reporting, controls, budgeting, and audit or tax coordination.
• Controller or Assistant Controller experience strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, accounting controls, and financial reporting standards.
• Project-based accounting experience required; construction, engineering services, energy, or similar environments preferred.
• ERP experience including Dynamics 365 Finance and migration projects is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Lead accounting operations for U.S. and Canadian entities with accurate financial records.
• Own and improve monthly and year-end close processes and reconciliations.
• Prepare GAAP-aligned financial statements and leadership reports.
• Establish and maintain internal controls and accounting policies.
• Oversee project accounting, revenue recognition, WIP reporting, and billing alignment.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and working capital planning.
• Oversee accounts receivable and banking relationships; support tax compliance.
• Coordinate tax compliance across federal, state, local, and Canadian regimes.
• Lead audit preparation and manage CPA relationships.
