Job summary

A leading energy company is seeking a Controller to manage its accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls.   • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Manage accounting for trading activities including settlements, P&L reporting, and trade-related accounting entries.
  • Implement and maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting processes in collaboration with leadership.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, and regulatory obligations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.
  • Work with trading and risk teams to ensure accurate trade capture, settlements, and reporting.
  • Improve accounting systems, reporting processes, and operational efficiency as the firm scales.
  • Lead and mentor accounting staff.

Job description

The Controller will work closely with leadership, trading, and operations teams to ensure accurate reporting, strong financial controls, and efficient accounting processes.
