Job summary

PlugandPlay Talent is assisting a fast-growing consumer products and ecommerce company in finding a hands-on finance function manager. You will own the full accounting cycle, manage one direct report, and improve the QuickBooks Online environment to support scale across DTC, Amazon, and retail channels.

The role reports to the VP of Operations and offers the opportunity to implement ERP improvements and automation in a high-growth setting with significant scope for impact.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience and at least one year of team leadership in DTC / e-commerce finance function.
• CPA strongly preferred / required.
• Experience within ecommerce, DTC, consumer products or retail.
• Strong understanding of inventory accounting, COGS and landed costs.
• Experience owning the full accounting cycle and producing financial statements.
• Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online.

Responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle, including month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
• Improve and organize the company's current QuickBooks Online environment.
• Help streamline and accelerate the month-end close process.
• Manage and develop one direct report.
• Own and improve inventory accounting, landed costs, COGS and margin reporting.
• Reconcile activity across ecommerce, marketplace and retail channels.
• Build more scalable accounting processes, controls and documentation.
• Partner closely with the Controller on reporting, cash flow and business performance.
• Help evaluate and implement future ERP and financial systems improvements.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting and reporting processes.
